Focus

Many children are nowadays unable to properly concentrate due to many daily distractions.

In our martial arts program your child will work on one thing at a time, learning how to refocus again.

They may only do one thing for 30 seconds in the beginning but they will get better and better. Before you know it, they do this at home too.

They focus on their homework… on their chores… on conversations with you… and anything else they put their mind to.

Confidence

It takes confidence to be a kid. Whether going to school every morning, starting a new activity, making new friends or even stepping up to a bully, kids face a lot of uncharted territory.

Self-confidence rises out of a sense of competence. In other words, kids develop confidence not because parents tell them they're great, but because of their achievements, big and small.

And that is what our program is about. We will give your child opportunities to earn his or her own victories. From a small one like a nod or high five to becoming a Tournament Champion or a Black Belt.

This creates confidence - they get a sense of themselves as able and capable, and tap into that high-octane fuel of self-esteem.

Bully Defense

When it comes to bullies, kids in martial arts don't back down. They have the courage to look a bully in the eyes and stand their ground.

This is what nearly always happens - the bully gets scared and backs down! It happens nine times out of 10. And for the one time out of 10, the bully doesn't back down – your child has the tools to defend her or himself. And if necessary, he'll be able to get away and seek out an authority figure.

Most confrontations can be talked through. Occasionally, however, words aren't enough. For either situation, your child will be prepared.

Goal Setting

Your child will be determined to succeed – from day one they will set goals, like reaching the next belt. The more and more they do this the more ambitious they become.

Eventually, your child will learn to set higher goals and go after them with everything they’ve got. They will learn that fulfillment and respect are earned through completing challenges. Because of this, kids who go through martial arts are much more likely to succeed later in life as well.

A recent study showed that 63% of black belts become college graduates!

This is an incredible place for kids to learn character, integrity and great martial arts skills. Our son loves it so much!
